This investment in <br />capital assets includes land, right-of-way, buildings <br />and improvements, intangibles, equipment, <br />infrastructure, and construction in progress. The <br />overall decrease in the County's investment in <br />capital assets for fiscal year 2017 was less than <br />1 % over the previous year. <br />Fiscal year 2017 saw an increase in equipment <br />primarily due to the purchase of new voting <br />equipment ($0.9 million) and fire rescue vehicles <br />and equipment ($2.4 million).
