Construction Waste Management Plan Implementation: <br />1. The Contractor shall designate an on-site party (or parties) responsible for <br />instructing workers and overseeing and documenting the Waste Management <br />Plan. <br />2. The "Summary of Construction Waste/Recycling" shall be completed each month <br />and submitted as part of Application for Payment. <br />a. All materials identified in the Summary shall be reported by weight. <br />b. Where weight is not applicable, Contractor shall report materials by units <br />applicable to material recipient. <br />C. Contractor shall procure receipts or other validation of waste <br />management procedures and include them as part of the submittal. <br />3. The Contractor shall distribute copies of the "Summary of Construction <br />Waste/Recycling" to the Consultant, Owner and each subcontractor involved in <br />the plan. <br />4. The Contractor shall provide on-site instruction of appropriate separation, <br />handling, and recycling, salvage, reuse and return methods to be used by all <br />parties at appropriate stages of the Work. <br />5. Separation facilities: <br />a. Contractor shall define specific areas to facilitate separation of materials <br />for recycling, salvage, re -use or return. <br />b. Recycle and waste bin areas are to be maintained in an orderly manner <br />and clearly marked to avoid contamination of materials. <br />C. Do not mix recyclable materials. <br />d. Store hazardous wastes in secure areas. <br />6. Hazardous wastes: <br />a. Hazardous wastes shall be separated, stored and disposed of in <br />accordance with local and EPA regulations and additional criteria listed <br />below: <br />i. Building products manufactured with PVC or containing <br />chlorinated compounds shall not be incinerated. <br />ii. Disposal of fluorescent tubes to open containers is not permitted. <br />iii. Unused fertilizers shall not be co -mingled with construction <br />waste. <br />C. Program profits: <br />1.
