It <br />was difficult for the employees to obtain security clearance in a timely manner and <br />along with having to undergo very warm temperatures during the day..Employees <br />were also away from their families for weeks at a time. SCI also had to have <br />material shipped far in advance from Jacksonville and. Virginia down to Cuba <br />which was also an added expense because there were no local hardware stores on <br />the island.
