Board of County Commissioners Meeting Minutes-Final September 12,2018 <br /> Attachments: Solid Waste Disposal District Budget <br /> Administrator Brown disclosed that the proposed budget for 2018-2019 is <br /> $15,587,145, an increase of$541,500 or 3.6%over the current year budget. <br /> The 2018-2019 proposed charges for the Solid Waste Disposal District were <br /> outlined by Administrator Brown as follows: <br /> $73.03 per Residential Waste Generation Unit($116.85/House) <br /> (7.1%increase from current year) <br /> $40.50 per Commercial Waste Generation Unit <br /> (7.5%increase from current year) <br /> Readiness-to-Use Fee$24.60 <br /> (13.9%increase from current year) <br /> The Chairman opened the floor for public comments; there were no speakers <br /> and the Chairman closed the public comment session. <br /> A motion was made by Vice Chairman Solari,seconded by Commissioner <br /> Flescher,to approve the Non-Ad Valorem assessment rates of$73.03 per <br /> Residential Waste Generation Unit($116.85/House),a 7.1%increase from <br /> current year; $40.50 per Commercial Waste Generation Unit,a 7.5% increase <br /> from current year; and Readiness-to-Use Fee of$24.60, a 13.9% increase <br /> from current year,for the Solid Waste Disposal District(SWDD). The motion <br /> carried by the following vote: <br /> Aye: 4- Chairman O'Bryan, Vice Chairman Solari, Commissioner Flescher, and <br /> Commissioner Zorc <br /> Absent: 1 - Commissioner Adams <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Zorc,seconded by Vice Chairman Solari,to <br /> adopt the budget in the amount of$15,587,145 for the Solid Waste Disposal <br /> District.The motion carried by the following vote: <br /> Aye: 4- Chairman O'Bryan, Vice Chairman Solari, Commissioner Flescher, and Commissioner <br /> Zorc <br /> Absent: 1 - Commissioner Adams <br /> The Board of Commissioners adjourned the Solid Waste Disposal District meeting, and <br /> reconvened as the Board of County Commissioners of the Budget Workshop meeting, <br /> continuing with the adoption of Non-Ad Valorem Assessment Charges. <br /> Indian River County Florida Page 6 <br />
