Board of County Commissioners Meeting Minutes-Final September 19,2018 <br /> Attachments: MSTU <br /> Acting Budget Director Kristin Daniels announced that the proposed millage is <br /> 1.0733 for the Municipal Service Taxing Unit(MSTU), and is 4.91%above the <br /> rolled back rate of 1.0231. The proposed MSTU budget is $32,020,997. <br /> The Chairman invited public comment; there was none and he closed the <br /> public comments session. <br /> There were no proposed changes to the millage rate. <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Flescher,seconded by Chairman <br /> O'Bryan,to approve the millage rate of 1.0733 for the Municipal Service <br /> Taxing Unit(MSTU),4.91%above the rollback rate of 1.0231,and to approve <br /> Resolution 2018-088,establishing the tax millage rate to be levied upon all <br /> real and personal taxable property in Indian River County, Florida,for Fiscal <br /> Year 2018-2019 for the Indian River County General Purpose Municipal <br /> Service Taxing Unit. The motion carried by the following vote: <br /> Aye: 5- Chairman O'Bryan,Vice Chairman Solari, Commissioner Adams, <br /> Commissioner Flescher, and Commissioner Zorc <br /> There were no proposed changes to the budget. <br /> A motion was made by Vice Chairman Solari,seconded by Commissioner <br /> Zorc,to approve the budget in the amount of$32,020,997,and to approve <br /> Resolution 2018-089,amending the County Budget Officer's estimates of <br /> receipts other than taxes and of balances to be brought forward for Fiscal Year <br /> 2018-2019 and adopting a final budget for the Indian River County General <br /> Purpose Municipal Service Taxing Unit. The motion carried by the following <br /> vote: <br /> Aye: 5- Chairman O'Bryan,Vice Chairman Solari, Commissioner Adams, Commissioner <br /> Flescher, and Commissioner Zorc <br /> Transportation Fund(No Millage) <br /> Acting Budget Manager Kristin Daniels announced that the proposed budget <br /> for the Transportation Fund is $16,657,301, a decrease of 0.58%. She noted <br /> that no millage applies to the Transportation Fund, as most of its revenue is <br /> received from gas taxes and transfers from the Municipal Service Taxing Unit <br /> and General Revenue Funds. <br /> Chairman O'Bryan opened the floor for public comments; there were no <br /> speakers, and the public comments session was closed. <br /> Indian River County Florida Page 3 <br />
