DeBraal — Deputy County Attorney <br />DATE: August 30, 2018 <br />0 <br />SUBJECT: Acceptance of Utility Easement — Chesser's Gap Subdivision Phase IV <br />(Located Within the Municipal Boundaries of the City of Sebastian) <br />Property located at the southeast corner of C.R. 512 and Fleming Street within the <br />municipal boundaries of the City of Sebastian is being platted as Chesser's Gap <br />Subdivision Phase IV and consists of a commercial lot with a utility easement dedicated <br />to both the City of Sebastian and Indian River County. <br />Staff has reviewed the proposed plat of Chesser's Gap Subdivision Phase IV only as it <br />pertains to the utility easement, and recommends the acceptance of the utility easement <br />by Indian River County. <br />The proposed plat of Chesser's Gap Subdivision Phase IV is scheduled to go before the <br />Sebastian City Council for plat approval on September 12, 2018. The County Attorney's <br />Office is recommending that the Board of County Commissioners accept the dedication <br />of the utility easement on the plat of Chesser's Gap Subdivision Phase IV. <br />FUNDING: <br />There is no cost to the Board of County Commissioners with regard to this item. <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION: <br />Staff recommends that the Board of County Commissioners accept the dedication of the <br />utility easement depicted on the proposed plat of Chesser's Gap Subdivision Phase IV, <br />and authorize the Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners to execute the <br />County's acceptance of the dedication of the utility easement on Sheet 2 of 3 of said plat.. <br />/nhm <br />attachment: proposed plat <br />81 <br />
