DeBraal, Deputy County Attorney <br />Kate Pingolt Cotner, Assistant County Attorney <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Board of County Commissioners <br />FROM: William. K. DeBraal - Deputy County Attorney <br />DATE: August 14, 2018 <br />ATTORNEY <br />SUBJECT: Resolution Cancelling Taxes on Property Purchased by Indian River <br />County for Public Purpose <br />Property identified as 405 35th Avenue and having a legal description of Lots 23 and 24, <br />less and except the South 25 feet thereof, Block "U', Clemann Estates, Unit 1, has been <br />purchased by Indian River County from Norman R. Lamothe and Roberta F. Lamothe for <br />future road expansion; and a Resolution is presented for the purpose of cancelling any <br />delinquent or current taxes which may exist on this property where a public purpose is <br />planned. <br />FUNDING: <br />There is no cost associated with this item. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Authorize the Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners to execute the <br />Resolution to cancel certain taxes upon 405 35th Avenue, and the Clerk to send a certified <br />copy of the Resolution to the Tax Collector and the Property Appraiser so that any <br />delinquent or current taxes can be cancelled. <br />/nhm <br />Attachment: Resolution <br />cc: Carole Jean Jordan - Tax Collector <br />David Nolte - Property Appraiser <br />51 <br />
