Dire( Payment for Additional Se ices <br /> The COUNTY agrees to pay on a direct basis for services <br /> or goods provided by others working in conjunction with the <br /> ENGINEER, as follows: <br /> a. Soil Survey <br /> The COUNTY shall make direct payment ,to the <br /> approved soil laboratory for soil survey work requested by the <br /> ENGINEER which is necessary in designing the project, and <br /> approved by the COUNTY in writing. <br /> b. Printing and Reproduction and Travel <br /> The COUNTY shall make direct payment to the <br /> ENGINEER for the cost of printing project plan sheets required <br /> for utility coordination. The maximum cost allowed per blueprint <br /> for sheets utilized for this purpose shall be $1. 00. The maximum <br /> cost per mylar or sepia for sheets utilized for this purpose <br /> shall be $4.00 . <br /> c. The Consultant shall be reimbursed for the mileage <br /> at the latest State approved rates per mile, except for travel to <br /> and from the County within a radius of 100 miles. <br /> SECTION VI — ADDITIONAL WORK <br /> In the event changes are requested by the COUNTY to the <br /> contract plans after said plans have been approved and accepted <br /> by the COUNTY and upon the issuance of a work order for said <br /> additional work by the Director of the Public Works Department, <br /> said additional work may commence in accordance with the fee <br /> schedule included in the work order. <br /> SECTION VII - PARTIAL PAYMENTS <br /> The COUNTY shall make monthly partial payments to the <br /> ENGINEER. <br /> The ENGINEER shall submit duly certified invoices in tripli- <br /> 4 <br /> • cate to the Director of the Public Works Department. <br /> The Contract shall be divided into units of deliverables, <br /> which shall include, but not be limited to, reports, findings, <br /> and drafts, that must be received and accepted in writing by the <br /> Director of Public Wo.r-ks_prior to payment. A 10% retainage wrt'i <br /> bewithheldby the COUNTY until Fina ayme tea <br /> SECTION VIII - EXTRA WORK <br /> In the event extra work is necessary by the ENGINEERS due to <br /> a change in scope of the project, such work shall be the subject <br /> of a supplemental work order approved by the Board of County <br /> Commissioners. <br /> SECTION IX - RIGHT OF DECISIONS <br /> All services shall be performed by the ENGINEER to the <br /> satisfaction of the Director of the Public Works Department who <br /> shall decide all questions, difficulties, and disputes of whatev- <br /> er nature which may arise under or by reason of this Agreement <br /> and according to the prosecution and fulfillment of the service <br /> 7 <br /> L - <br />
