1 1 / J / H-1 (urd <br />ORDINANCE 94- 30 r' `z <br />r G . <br />AN ORDINANCE OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, Z;;. — <br />FLORIDA, AMENDING PART II CHAPTER 303 OF r'._ <br />THE CODE CONCERNING GREASE TRAPS. <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has deter'd ffiat <br />it is in the public interest to establish regulations for the interception <br />of pollutants; and <br />WHEREAS, the current regulations developed in 1990 need <br />clarification with respect to floor drains and variances,, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF <br />COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, that: <br />SECTION 1. AMENDMENT OF SECTION 303.18. <br />The first paragraph of Section 303.18 of the Indian River County <br />Code is amended to read as follows: <br />Section 303.18. Requirements for installation of pollutant <br />interceptors and grease traps -Generally. <br />1. Except as otherwise provided herein, all new establishments <br />including change of ownership and/or use which are not solely <br />single-family or multifamily residences shall have installed a pollutant <br />interceptor or grease trap which complies <br />with the <br />requirements <br />of this <br />chapter. Any <br />proposed or existing floor <br />drainage <br />system shall <br />not be <br />connected to <br />the Countv sewage collection <br />system <br />without an approved <br />ollutant interceptor . <br />2. ... <br />SECTION 2. AMENDMENT TO SECTION 303.20 <br />The first paragraph of Section 303.20 is amended to read as <br />follows: <br />Section 303.20. Variances. <br />Variances from the requirements of this chapter may be applied for <br />on forms provided by the Indian River County Public Health Unit and <br />shall be granted by the environmental health director where the <br />following has been demonstrated to his satisfaction and to the <br />satisfaction of the utilities director as evidenced by his signed <br />approval, where applicable: ... <br />21 <br />November 8, 1994 <br />
