COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR MATTERS <br />11.A. 18-2344 Update Historic Dodgertown <br />Recommended Action: Review and Discuss Staff Update. <br />Attachments: Staff Report <br />County Administrator Jason Brown reported that the City of Vero Beach(the City) <br />has received the County's proposed contract for purchase of the 35-acre parcel of <br />land known as Dodgertown Golf Course, as well as documents containing <br />prospective plans for the property, and information on existing economic <br />development. He informed the Board that per the Florida Statutes, two appraisals <br />have been obtained on the property;:both were valued in excess of the County's <br />proposed purchase price of$2.4 million. <br />Chairman O'Bryan calculated that based on data from the Treasure Coast Sports <br />Commission, about$15 million is spent annually in relation to Historic <br />Dodgertown. <br />It was noted that Chairman O'Bryan and Administrator Brown would beattending <br />the City of Vero Beach Council Meeting occurring later that afternoon to see what <br />the City will decide regarding the prospective sale of the Historic Dodgertown <br />parcel. <br />No Action Taken or Required <br />12.: DEPARTMENTAL MATTERS <br />A.
