We also <br />recognize that free -ranging (feral, stray, and outdoor owned) <br />cats kill billions of birds and small mammals in the U.S. each <br />year. Audubon supports responsible pet ownership, to keep <br />domestic cats indoors or controlled on a leash, and to manage <br />feral cat overpopulation by establishing alternatives to feral <br />cat colonies. <br />I4(- 2 <br />
