E. Cancellation of Outstanding Taxes - <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated November 2, 1994: <br />TO: BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />�. <br />FROM: �. Keller, CLA, County Attorney's Office <br />TBRU: Charles P. Vitunac, County Attorney <br />DATE: November 2, 1994 <br />RE: CANCELLATION OF OUTSTANDING TAXES <br />PROPERTIES PURCHASED FOR COUNTY USE <br />The County recently acquired some right-of-way, and, pursuant to Section <br />196.28, Florida Statutes, the Board of County Commissioners is allowed <br />to cancel and discharge any taxes owed on the portion of the property <br />acquired for public purposes. Such cancellation must be done by <br />resolution of the Board with a certified copy being forwarded to the Tau <br />Collector and the Property Appraiser. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: Board authorize the Chairman to sign the <br />attached resolutions cancelling taxes upon lands the County recently <br />acquired. - <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Macht, the Board unanimously (4- <br />0, Commissioner Eggert absent) adopted <br />Resolutions 94-148 and 94-149 cancelling <br />certain delinquent taxes upon publicly -owned <br />lands. <br />W <br />November 15, 1994 BOOK PAG c �` <br />
