Board of County Commissioners Meeting Minutes - Draft November 6, 2018 <br />Brightline (a/k/a All Aboard Florida) high speed railway out of Indian River <br />County, and requested that the Board continue to contest the railway. <br />A discussion ensued among the Board and County Attorney Reingold regarding <br />the Florida Passenger Rail System Study prepared for the Office of Program <br />Policy Analysis and Government Accountability (OPPAGA). It was pointed <br />out that the study highlights the lack of financial feasibility and the safety <br />concerns associated with the Brightline. <br />Administrator Brown acknowledged that the Florida Passenger Rail System <br />Study could be placed on the County's website after he verifies that it is a public <br />document. <br />No Action Taken or Required <br />C. PUBLIC NOTICE ITEMS <br />10.C.1. 18-2440 Notice of Scheduled Public Hearing for November 20, 2018: Indian <br />River Land Trust, Inc. request to amend the Comprehensive Plan to <br />re -designate ± 11.59 Acres, located at the southeast corner of 79th <br />Street and U.S. Highway 1, from C/l, Commercial/ Industrial to M-1, <br />Medium Density Residential -1 (up to 8 units/acre), and to rezone those <br />± 11.59 Acres from CL, Limited Commercial District, to RM -6, <br />Multi -Family Residential District (up to 6 units/acre); and simultaneous <br />request by Schwerin Asset Advisors, LLC's to amend the <br />Comprehensive Plan to re -designate ± 11.44 Acres, located at the <br />northeast corner of 41 st Street and U.S. Highway 1, from M-1, Medium <br />Density Residential -1 (up to 8 units/acre), to C/I, Commercial/ Industrial, <br />and to rezone ± 0.83 Acres of that property to OCR, Office, Commercial, <br />Residential District and to rezone the remaining ± 10.61 Acres of that <br />property from RM -6, Multi -Family Residential District (up to 6 units/acre), <br />to CL, Limited Commercial District; (LUDA 2006090171-81055) [Treat as <br />Quasi -Judicial] <br />Recommended Action: The referenced Notice of Scheduled Public Hearing is provided for the Board's <br />information.
