1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />___-7-7 <br />457 <br />WEDRESDAY, JULY 5th 1933. <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, met in the <br />office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court at Vero Beach, in the County of Indian River <br />on this the 5th day of July, 1933, at 10:00 o'clock A.H. and the following County <br />Commissioners were present: J. J.P. Hamilton, Chairman; J.D.Yongue; 1h.E.Peazeil,3r. ; <br />John H. Knight .and Edwin A. Helseth. Also present were Hiles Warren, Clerk and Wm. <br />Prick, Sheriff. <br />The Board of County Commissioners resolved itself into a Board of Equalizers of <br />taxes and continued to sit for the purpose of hearing complaints and receiving testi- <br />mony as to the value of any. property, real, personal or mixed, as fixed by the County <br />Tax Assessor of taxes for assessment for the taxes of the year 1933. The owners and <br />agents of property, who appeared for that purpose, were allowed to make full and <br />complete statements as to the valuation of the property owned or represented by them and <br />the Tax Assessor and the members of the Board having fully discussed the statements and <br />facts as. presented decided to make no change in the valuation upon any of the property <br />for the year 1933. <br />The Board of County Commissioners then adjourned to meet at it's neat regular <br />meeting to be held in August, unless sooner convened by order of the Chairman. q <br />AT ST: Chairman <br />Clerk. <br />• li <br />u <br />- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -b- <br />BESD, _ AUGUST 2nd 1933. <br />The Board of County Commissioners in and for Indian River County, Florida, met at <br />the Court•House in hero Beach, at 10:00 o•olook A.H.Hednesday, August 2nd 1933, with <br />the following members of the Board present; J.J,P.Hamiltonj Chdirimm; Wm« E, Feazells <br />J. D. Yougue; Jobn H. Knight and Edwin A Helseth. Also present were Miles Warren, <br />Clerk and William Frek, Sheriff. <br />The minutes of the previous meetings were read and approved. <br />Walter Duncan appeared before the Board regarding public road as reported by view - <br />era on December 6th 1938, The Road Superintendent wan inetrueted to survey this road <br />and make estimate of cost of opening up'this road„ <br />It wan ordered lira Sallie Roberson, winter Beach, be placed on the pauper list to <br />receive the sum of $6.04 per month. <br />It was ordered Mrs John Yates, Fellsmere, be placed on the mother's pension list to <br />receive the sura of $7.00 per month instead of $5.00 as heretofore paid. <br />0n motion made, s000nded'and carried; it was ordered that the Chaitman and Comtr., <br />Helseth attend a meeting}of the State Road Department in Halal on Monday, Augnat 7th, <br />1933 and the am of $25.00 is appropriated to defray their expenses. <br />Geo T. Badger appeared before the Board and requested assistance in cutting out <br />a road on the peninsular from Porth County line to the Sebastian Inlet South Settles. <br />It was agreed that Chairmen Hamilton and Commissioner Yongue will go with Hr. Badger to <br />Helbourub and get permission and authority from County Commissioner of Brevard County <br />to do this work. <br />It was ordered that all Bridge Tenders be given 15 days vacation with pay. Road <br />Superintendent to get competent and suitable persons to releive the Bridge tenders while <br />away• <br />
