I <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously (4-0, <br />Commissioner Eggert being absent), adopted Ordinance <br />94-32 amending Section 102.04, Entitled "Order of <br />Business" of the Indian River County Code. <br />ORDINANCE 94- -32 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, <br />FLORIDA, AMENDING SECTION 102.04, ENTITLED <br />"ORDER OF BUSINESS" OF THE INDIAN RIVER <br />COUNTY CODE. <br />WHEREAS, the current order of commission business lists public <br />hearings following public discussion items; and <br />WHEREAS, public hearings often involve a number -of ,interested <br />parties as opposed to public discussion items; and <br />WHEREAS, it would be in the public interest to reverse the order <br />so that a large number of people do not have wait while items which are <br />often of limited interest are discussed, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF <br />COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, that: <br />SECTION 1. AMENDMENT. <br />Item No. 9 of Section 102.04 which reads as follows: <br />9. Public items: <br />a. Public discussion items. <br />b. Public hearings. <br />is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />9. Public items: <br />a. Public hearings <br />b. Public discussion items <br />(As a general rule public discussion items should be <br />limited to matters on which the commission may take <br />action.) <br />SECTION 2.
