Board of County Commissioners Meeting Minutes - Final December 11, 2018 <br />Aye: 5- Chairman Solari, Vice Chairman Adams, Commissioner Flescher, Commissioner <br />O'Bryan, and Commissioner Zorc <br />13.B. 18-2594 Fiber Optic Agreements <br />Recommended Action: <br />The County Attorneys Office recommends that the Indian River County Board of <br />County Commissioners approve the Substation License and Access Agreement, <br />Linear. Facilities . Pole Attachment Agreement, Fiber License Agreement, and First <br />Amendment to Revised and Restated: Joint Fiber Optics Project Interlocal <br />Agreement and authorize the chair to execute the documents.. The County <br />Attorney's Ofce also recommends that the County Attorney be authorized to make <br />any non -substantive. changes to these agreements.prior to execution: <br />Attachments::. Chapter 617 Corporations = Not for Profit and is <br />placed here for continuity) <br />County Attorney Dylan Reingold gave an. overview of the Fiber Optic Agreements <br />presented for Board approval. He pointed out that Florida Power and Light (FPL) <br />will close on the City of Vero Beach Electric Utility System on December 17, 2018, <br />and as partof the sale, FPL needs to resolve how:the Fiber Optics is shared and <br />utilized by the Indian:River County. School Board, the City of Vero Beach, and <br />Indian River County.. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Zorc, seconded. by Commissioner Flescher, to <br />approve staffs recommendation.
