PINTO/.\ <br />PREPARED H. <br />AND STAFFED ENVIRONMENTAL'ENGINEER <br />BY: DEPARTMENT OF UTILITY SERVICES <br />SUBJECT: 9TH COURT WATER LINE EXTENSION <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY PROJECT NO. UW -94 -11 -DS <br />BACKGROUND <br />On October 25, 1994, the Indian River County Board of County <br />Commissioners approved the subject project at an estimated cost of <br />$35,000. .The project is to provide much needed water to residents <br />of 9th Court. <br />ANALYSIS <br />Due to the poor quality of well water, it is desired to accelerate <br />the construction through the use of our labor contractor. Costs of <br />materials and labor are estimated to be $9, 991.01 from Davis Meter, <br />and $12,164.19 by Driveways, Inc., for a total construction cost of <br />$22,155.20. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />The staff of the Department of Utility Services recommends that the <br />Board of County Commissioners approve the construction of the <br />subject water line by Indian River County's Labor Contractor, <br />Driveways, Inc., and requests the Board's approval of the attached <br />agreement to proceed. <br />54 <br />DECEBER 6, 1994 <br />
