RESOLUTION NO. 95-127 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, <br />SUPPORTING ST. LUCIE COUNTY IN ITS ENDEAVORS TO <br />HAVE A FLORIDA HIGH SPEED RAIL CORPORATION <br />TRANSPORTATION STATION AND MAINTENANCE FACILITY <br />LOCATED IN ST. LUCIE COUNTY, FLORIDA. <br />WHEREAS, St. Lucie County is endeavoring to have a <br />transportation station and maintenance facility located within St. <br />Lucie County in a location as best determined to service passengers <br />within the Treasure Coast area; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County <br />is requesting support of the local governments of the Treasure <br />Coast relative to its endeavors in working with the Florida High <br />Speed Rail Transportation Commission in having this transportation <br />system become a reality with a rail station being located in St. <br />Lucie County; and <br />WHEREAS, a station located in St. Lucie County would benefit <br />the entire Treasure Coast region. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, that the Board <br />supports St. Lucie County in its attempt to actively solicit and <br />work to bring the High Speed Rail Transportation System through, <br />and to include a transportation station and maintenance facility <br />being located in St. Lucie County, Florida. <br />This resolution was moved for adoption by Commissioner Adams, <br />seconded by Commissioner Bird, and was adopted by the following <br />vote: <br />Chairman Kenneth R. Macht Aye <br />Vice Chairman Fran B. Adams Aye <br />Commissioner John W. Tippin Aye <br />Commissioner Carolyn K. Eggert Aye <br />Commissioner Richard N.
