RESOLUTION NO. 2019 - 019 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER <br /> COUNTY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CHAIRMAN TO EXECUTE THE <br /> DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR THE COUNTY TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH <br /> THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY FOR A FEDERAL <br /> FISCAL YEAR (FFY) 2017 HOUSING REHABILITATION CATEGORY COMMUNITY <br /> DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT AND AUTHORIZING THE COMMUNITY <br /> DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR THE <br /> ADMINISTRATION OF THE HOUSING REHABILITATION CATEGORY COMMUNITY <br /> DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT. <br /> WHEREAS, Indian River County applied to the Florida Department of Economic <br /> Opportunity (DEO) for a $750,000 Housing Rehabilitation category Community Development <br /> Block Grant (CDBG) for Federal Fiscal Year 2017; and <br /> WHEREAS, Indian River County was notified that its $750,000 Housing Rehabilitation <br /> category CDBG application was approved by DEO; and <br /> WHEREAS, DEO provided to the County a proposed $750,000 Housing Rehabilitation <br /> category CDBG contract; and <br /> WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Indian River County Board of County Commissioners <br /> to enter into that contract with DEO for the $750,000 in approved Housing Rehabilitation <br /> category Community Development Block Grant funds to rehabilitate or replace deteriorated <br /> housing within the unincorporated areas of the County and benefit persons of low and <br /> moderate income; <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY; that <br /> SECTION 1. The Board of County Commissioners hereby authorizes the Chairman to execute <br /> all necessary contracts, certifications and other documents required for Indian River County to enter <br /> into a contract with the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity for a Housing Rehabilitation <br /> category CDBG, Subgrant Contract Number 19DB-ON-10-40-01-H03. <br /> SECTION 2. The Board of County Commissioners directs the Community Development <br /> Director, or his designee, to execute all documents required for the implementation of Housing <br /> Rehabilitation category CDBG, Subgrant Contract Number 19DB-ON-10-40-01-H03.
