DeBraal — Deputy County Attorney <br />DATE: January 7, 2019 <br />SUBJECT: GYAC Classroom Building Project — Grant of Easement to FPL <br />In May, 2018 Gifford Youth Achievement Center's minor site plan application was approved <br />for the construction of a 2 -story "classroom" (civic center) building (4889 43rd Avenue) and <br />associated site improvements (Phase I: ground floor is 13,998 square feet with 6 classrooms, <br />offices, and storage; Phase II: second floor is 13,998 square feet with 10 classrooms). <br />The construction is presently underway by Proctor Construction, and in support of the GYAC <br />Classroom Building Project, an easement to Florida Power & Light Company is required. <br />Staff requests that the Board consider the granting of the attached Easement in favor of Florida <br />Power & Light Company. <br />FUNDING: <br />The only cost associated with this request is the recording fees for the Easement in the amount <br />of $27.70 which is to be paid from Account No. 00110214-034830 (General Fund/County <br />Attorney/Recording Fees). <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Approve the Easement in favor of Florida Power & Light Company and authorize the <br />Chairman to execute same for recordation in the Public Records of Indian River County, <br />Florida. <br />/nhm <br />Attachment: Easement <br />118 <br />
