BCC AGENDA <br />February 12, 2019 <br />ITEM 14.A.1 <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />INTER -OFFICE MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Members of the Board of County Commissioners <br />DATE: February 6, 2019 <br />SUBJECT: Dodger Golf Course Pedestrian/Jogging Trail <br />FROM: Commissioner Bob Solari <br />At the last COVB council meeting the City Council accepted the County's <br />offer to purchase the Dodgertown Golf Course property. Councilmember <br />Young appropriately talked about trust and good faith when explaining his <br />vote to sell the property and to work with the County. <br />I believe that it is in the best interests of all in the County for the BCC to <br />build on the words of Councilmember Young and make a move that <br />demonstrates our good faith. I believe that a good first step would be to <br />authorize staff to immediately begin the general conceptual design of the <br />new Dodgertown Park while specifically beginning the process to design <br />and build the pedestrian/jogging trail that is called for in our contract with <br />the City. <br />Thank you <br />146 <br />
