� 1/7/B4 ((raa)aabinlaC. doo)Ow <br />RESOLUTION NO. 94- 1 <br />A RESOLUTION OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY <br />SUPPORTING THE EFFORTS OF THE SEBASTIAN <br />INLET TAX DISTRICT TO EXTEND THE <br />CHANNEL FROM THE SEBASTIAN INLET TO THE <br />ATLANTIC INTRACOASTAL WATERWAY. <br />WHEREAS, the Sebastian Inlet Tax District is seeking authority <br />from the state to extend the channel from Sebastian Inlet to the <br />Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway; and <br />WHEREAS, such an extension would allow large vessels to enter <br />the waters in Indian River County, and <br />WHEREAS, the entry of said vessels would result in a positive <br />economic impact on businesses In Indian River County that provide <br />marine services; and <br />WHEREAS, extension of said channel will result In some removal <br />of seagrass, it will also control the passage of watercraft operating in <br />the area and thus save seagrass beds adjoining the channel and In <br />the general area, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF <br />COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />that: <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County <br />hereby supports the application of the Sebastian Inlet Tax District to <br />extend the channel at the Sebastian Inlet to the Aitantic Intracoastal <br />Waterway for the reasons given above. it is the uoara,s nrm <br />conviction that the extension Is both economically and environmentally <br />sound. <br />The resolution was moved to adoption by Commissioner <br />Eggert and the motion was seconded by Commissioner <br />Ma r h t , and, upon being put to a vote, the vote was as <br />follows: <br />Chairman John W.
