NASASSO CORRIDOR PLAN <br />NEW <br />Free-standing on-site signs: The 30' high free-standing <br />commercial signs allowed under current countywide <br />regulations are considered out of character, unaesthetic, <br />unnecessary, and inappropriate within the Mabasso <br />Corridor Plan area. Therefore, within the plan area, <br />free-standing, on-site signs shall be limited to a <br />maximum height of 10' above the parking lot grade and <br />shall be ground mounted (monument style) or may be <br />supported by a polo(s) if, at the time of certificate of <br />occupancy (C.O.) issuance, such supports are completely <br />screened from view by berming and/or landscaping. said <br />bersing and/or landscaping shall cover the entire area <br />underneath the sign. A 1' setback from the right-of-way <br />line is required for free-standing on-site signs. Also, <br />free-standing on-site signs for non residential complexes <br />( such as shopping centers) shall be limited to an area of <br />120 square feet for sites between 5 and 20 acres in sise, <br />and 160 square feet for sites more than 20 acres in mine. <br />All other countywide sign regulations of LDR Chapter 956 <br />shall apply. <br />(Related Graphics on Next Page) <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY PAGE 14 <br />
