SECTION 1- Technical Specifications <br />STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS <br />A. All work of this Contract shall conform to the applicable technical specifications of <br />Florida Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge <br />Construction, 2017, and Supplemental Specification, Special Provisions and <br />addenda thereto, except as modified and supplemented hereinafter. Reference to <br />Article numbers herein -after apply to the FDOT Standard Specifications, and <br />reference in FDOT Standard Specifications to Department shall be taken as the <br />Owner or its appointed Representative. Wherever the Specifications, <br />Supplementals, etc. may refer to the "Owner", "Department", "State of Florida <br />Department of Transportation", or words relating to offices of State Government, <br />such words shall be taken as meaning Owner or Indian River County, Florida. <br />Wherever the word "Owner's Engineer", "District Engineer", "Engineer", "Project <br />Engineer", etc., appears, it shall be taken to mean the Registered Professional <br />Project Engineer of the Indian River County Public Works Department, Engineering <br />Division acting directly or through duly authorized representatives. Wherever the <br />word "Resident Engineer" appears, it shall be taken to mean an authorized <br />representative of the Owner's Engineer on the Project (Resident Construction <br />Inspector) who will act as an agent for Indian River County, assigned to observe <br />the progress quantity and quality of the work. <br />The work to be performed for utility work (if any) shall conform to the applicable <br />technical specifications of the "Indian River County Department of Utility Services, <br />Water, Wastewater, and Reclaimed Water Utility Construction Standards" March, <br />2018 or the current version. <br />http://www.ircutilities.com/UStandards/Utility Standards.pdf <br />SECTION — 4 - SCOPE OF WORK <br />Section 4-3.9 Value Engineering Incentive is deleted in its entirety. <br />SECTION —101 - MOBILIZATION <br />The work specified in this section shall conform to Section 101 of the Florida Department of <br />Transportation Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction. <br />Item of Payment <br />Payment for the work specified in this item shall be made under: <br />Bid Item No. 101-1 - Mobilization — Per Lump Sum <br />SECTION -102 - MAINTENANCE OF TRAFFIC <br />The work specified in this item shall conform to Section 102 of the Florida Department of <br />Transportation Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, except as <br />modified herein. <br />01025-1 Technical Specifications <br />F:\Public Works\ENGINEERING DIVISION PROJECTS\1362-OId Dixie Hwy_Highland Dr\1-Admin\Bid Documents Master Contract <br />Documents\Technical Specifications.doc <br />
