� s/w/sflfrrrn\Fon ltyoW VN - - <br />4 RESOLUTION NO. 94- 108 <br />A RESOLUTION OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, <br />BY AND THROUGH ITS BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS, AUTHORISING AND DIRECTING ITS <br />STAFF TO COORDINATE ALL DECISIONS CONCERNING <br />PURCHASE OR USE OF ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY <br />EQUIPMENT WITH THE TECHNOLOGY TASK FORCE <br />APPOINTED BY THE COUNCIL OF PUBLIC OFFICIALS. <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County is a <br />member of the Council of Public Officials, which is a local body created to <br />foster coordination and cooperation among various Indian River County <br />governmental agencies, with a goal of making government more efficient and <br />less expensive; and <br />WHEREAS, the Council of Public Officials has created a Technology Task <br />Force to make recommendations concerning all matters relating to high- <br />technology equipment purchases and use and coordination of the technology <br />needs of the member governments; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County finds <br />that having its staff coordinate with the Technology Task Force on technology <br />would be in the interest of the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River <br />County; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMIMONERS OF <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that: <br />1. The staff of the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County is <br />hereby authorized and directed to cooperate with the Technology Task <br />Force of the Council of Public Officials on all decisions relating to <br />purchase or use of high-technology equipment. <br />2. This authority and direction shall be interpreted broadly to encourage <br />full cooperation with the Task Force. <br />The resolution was moved for adoption by Commissioner Adams, and the <br />motion was seconded by Commissioner Eggert, and, upon being put to a vote, <br />the vote was as follows: <br />Chairman John W. Tippin Aye <br />Vice Chairman Kenneth R. Macht Aye <br />Commissioner Richard N. Bird Absent <br />Commissioner Carolyn K. Eggert Aye <br />Commissioner Fran B.
