POLMANN <br />ANDREW GILES FAY <br />ORDER SUSPENDING PROPOSED SOLARTOGETHER PROGRAM TARIFF <br />BY THE COMMISSION: <br />Background <br />On March 13, 2019, Florida Power & Light Company (FPL) filed a petition for approval <br />of its new voluntary community solar program (SolarTogether program) and associated tariff. <br />The proposed SolarTogether program is designed to allow FPL customers to subscribe to a <br />portion of new solar capacity built through the program and to receive a credit of a portion of the <br />system savings produced by that solar capacity. This order addresses the suspension of the <br />proposed tariff. We have has jurisdiction over this matter pursuant to Sections 366.03, 366.04, <br />366.05, and 366.06, Florida Statutes (F.S.). <br />Decision <br />On March 13, 2019, FPL filed a petition for Commission approval of its SolarTogether <br />program and associated tariff. Commission staff requested that the tariff be suspended to allow <br />staff sufficient time to review the petition and gather all pertinent information in order to present <br />this Commission with an informed recommendation on the tariff proposal. <br />Pursuant to Section 366.06(3), F.S., we the may withhold consent to the operation of all <br />or any portion of a new rate schedule, by delivering to the utility a reason or written statement of <br />good cause for doing so within 60 days. We find that the reason stated above is good cause <br />consistent with the requirement of Section 366.06(3), F.S. <br />Based on the foregoing, it is <br />ORDERED by the Florida Public Service Commission that Florida Power & Light <br />Company's proposed SolarTogether program tariff shall be suspended.
