According to the data <br />we submitted to FDEP for review, the recycling rate for Indian River County (IRC) is estimated to be 66% <br />for 2018. Although this is higher than the FDEP-approved 2017 IRC Recycling Rate of 64%, it is short of the <br />FDEP interim goal of the 70% recycling rate by December 31, 2018. The official recycling rates for all Florida <br />counties should be posted by the FDEP by July 1, 2019. <br />RECYCLING COLLECTION EVENTS: <br />During the second quarter, SWDD partnered with Waste Management to host the winter Electronics and <br />Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Recycling Event on January 26, 2019, at the North County Pool. The <br />event brought in 155 cars and recycled 4,122 lbs. of electronics as well as paint cans, propane tanks, <br />pesticides, and other HHW. <br />3 <br />- Page 1- <br />
