Chairman Bowden said that cooperation would be required among all the <br /> constitutional officers. She invited anyone with cost-cutting strategies to bring them to the <br /> Board. <br /> A brief discussion ensued between Vice Chairman Davis and Commissioner <br /> Wheeler as they discussed the role of the State, and State-mandated programs, as related to the <br /> current economic situation. <br /> Administrator Baird informed the Board that there were currently 67 employment <br /> vacancies in the County, of which only 10 are posted. He stated that the County will not be <br /> replacing vacancies when they occur.
