Task 1— Review Existing Relevant Information <br />• Participate in a kick-off call to confirm project objectives and identify available informa <br />needed to conduct the WCS. <br />• Review available and relevant data, provided by the County, necessary to plan the study <br />approach and protocols. Information needs include, but are not limited to, the ollowing: <br />o County's most recent annual solid waste report to FDEP. <br />o Data regarding the quantities of solid waste, including yard was <br />white goods, and household hazardous waste, received at the <br />2018, and 2019 to date. If possible, tonnage data should b <br />generator type (single family residential, multi -family resi <br />commercial/institutional, convenience centers, residen <br />haul, C&D debris, etc.), and source (unincorporated <br />, recyclable materials, <br />andfill during CY 2017, <br />roken down by hauler, <br />ential, <br />al self -haul, commercial self- <br />unty, municipality, etc.). <br />o Data regarding the quantities and types of Count solid waste, yard waste, or recyclable <br />materials received at facilities other than the C. my landfill. <br />o Current contact information (name, phone mber, and e-mail address) for the <br />County's franchised collection service pro ders. <br />o Information regarding solid waste colt- tion in each municipality, including the name <br />and number of a contact for each cit and for each city's collection service provider. <br />o A list of any other waste haulers t at provide service within the County, with contact <br />information for each (names, p ' one numbers, and e-mail addresses). <br />Task 2 — Develo <br />Sam lin andSortin_ Pr tocol <br />Task activities will include the followin <br />• Work with County staff to i' entify dates for the fieldwork. <br />• Work with County staff • identify appropriate sampling and sorting area at the landfill and <br />coordinate equipmen needs and plans for project mobilization. <br />• Confirm the list of --enerator sectors that will be targeted in the study. <br />• Develop a saming schedule to obtain the desired number of samples from each generator <br />sector. If ap• opriate, KCI will develop information packets and truck placards to be distributed <br />to the haulers in advance of the sorting event. <br />• Identify haulers, truck types, and material types to be including the visual audits. <br />• Revi 4v material categories from the 2014 WCS with County staff and adjust for the current WCS <br />ac rding to current waste management practices and goals. <br />• •evelop a sampling and sorting protocol and a site safety plan. <br />Review and discuss the above items with County staff and make any necessary modifications. <br />Coordinate equipment needs and plans for project mobilization with County staff. <br />• Prepare data recording forms, container labels, and field notebook. <br />150 <br />
