Zito, Assistant County Administrator <br />Beth Powell, Assistant Director, Park & Conservation Resources <br />Award of Bid 2019049 — Oyster Bar Marsh Boardwalks and Observation Piers <br />DESCRIPTIONS AND CONDITIONS: <br />The Oyster Bar Marsh Conservation Area (OBM) is a 155 acre conservation area located on the <br />barrier island just north of Round Island Riverside Park. The County entered into a partnership <br />with the Indian River Land Trust (IRLT) on April 4, 2017, in order to develop public access <br />improvements on the OBM and adjacent IRLT properties. As part of the agreement, the IRLT <br />completed the engineering and architectural design of the public access improvements, including <br />boardwalk structures to provide public access to the impoundment trail. Pierce <br />$194,650.00 <br />ANALYSIS: <br />The department has determined Summerlin's Marine Construction to be the lowest responsive and <br />responsible bidder. Summerlin's has completed numerous projects successfully for the County. It <br />is anticipated that the project will commence 90 days after receiving notice to proceed and County <br />building permits. <br />FUNDING: <br />On December 4, 2018, the Board of County Commissioners approved an update to the 5 Year <br />Capital Improvements Program for the period of FY 2018/19-2022/2023. Within this plan, <br />$165,000 was identified for FY2018/19 to be funded from the Optional Sales Tax with additional <br />grant funding provided by the Florida Inland Navigation District (FIND) in the amount of <br />19 <br />
