Szpyrka P.E., Public Works Director <br />FROM: Keith McCully, P.E., Stormwater EngineerHI7j/A <br />SUBJECT: Recommendation of Release of Retainage for the Replacement of Conveyor <br />Systems at the PC Main Screening System <br />DATE: May 29, 2019 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />On June 5, 2018, the Board of County Commissioners (Board) awarded a construction contract to <br />Costello Brothers Marine Construction to replace PC Main Screening System's failing conveyor <br />systems. The contract amount is $586,236.60. There were no Change Orders. Construction is complete <br />and the facility is operational. Application for Payment No. 4 (Final) for release of retainage is <br />$29,311.83, which will bring the total amount paid to $586,236.60. <br />FUNDING <br />The retainage funds in the amount of $29,311.83 are available from Account No. 315-206000- <br />16001 Optional Sales Tax Funds/Public Works/PC Main Relief Canal Upgrade/Retainage-Costello <br />Bros. Marine. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends the Board approve Application for Payment No. 4 (Final) for release of retainage <br />withheld during construction. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />Application for Payment No. 4 (Final) is available in the Indian River County Public Works office <br />for review during normal business hours. <br />DISTRIBUTION <br />Jennifer Hyde, Purchasing Division <br />Kristin Daniels, Budget Division <br />William K.
