Zito, Assistant County Administrator <br />Kristin Daniels, Director, Office of Management and Budget <br />June 25, 2019 <br />From: Kevin Kirwin, Director, Parks and Conservation Resources <br />Subject: Work Order Number 1, Masteller & Moler, Inc. — Continuing Engineering <br />Services RFP 2018008 - Hobart Park Baseball Fields <br />BACKGROUND: <br />On January 9, 2018, the Board of County Commissioners approved the professional services as <br />outline in Scope of Services for Work Order No. 5. with Masteller & Moler, Inc. for the 58th <br />Avenue Ballfield Renovation and Expansion Project for Parks and Recreation improvements for <br />$66,025. <br />Subsequently, an Amendment Number 1 to Work Order Number 5 with Masteller & Moler, Inc., <br />was approved by the Board of County Commissioners on July 17, 2018 at cost of $13,165. This <br />amendment provided for the redesign from a two-story to one-story concession facility, designs for <br />extension of power to various other elements including sewage lift station, irrigation pump facility, <br />scoreboard, flagpole, adding a new fire hydrant and batting cage lights. <br />On April 17, 2018, the Board of County Commissioners approved Continuing Consulting <br />Engineering Services Agreements for RFQ 2018008 between Indian River County and Masteller & <br />Moler, Inc., this award replaced the Continuing Contract Agreement for Professional Services, <br />dated November 4, 2014. <br />Work Order Number 1, under the current Continuing Consulting Engineering Services Agreements <br />for RFQ 2018008 would provide for earthwork analysis, bidding assistance, construction <br />administration, preconstruction coordination, construction observation and certification and <br />statement of work completion. These services will engage the engineer and architect of record for <br />this project through the construction phase to completion, ensuring construction quality and <br />consistency with design bringing the total cost to $152,335. <br />FUNDING: <br />Funding for this Work Order Number 1 is budgeted and available in the MSTU Fund/Parks/58th <br />Avenue Ballfield Renovation & Expansion account.
