DeBraal - Deputy County Attorney <br />DATE: June 25, 2019 <br />SUBJECT: Resolutions Cancelling Taxes on Properties Acquired by the City of <br />Fellsmere for Public Purposes <br />The City of Fellsmere acquired three parcels of land through code enforcement <br />foreclosure. The City of Fellsmere intends to use these parcels for public <br />purposes, being drainage retention and open space. <br />For this reason, three resolutions have been prepared for consideration by the <br />Board for removing the below recited three properties from the tax roll for ad <br />valorem taxes for current and future years. The prorated 2019 real property <br />taxes have either been paid or fall below the threshold for collecting. <br />1.
