N. Cancellation of Outstanding Taxes/Properties Purchased for County Use <br />The Board reviewed a Memorandum of January 31, 1995: <br />TO: BOARD OF COUNTY _CrOM�MISSIONERS <br />�0.., fK • 9�F�lCx�.Q.�� <br />FROM: Lea R. Vitunac, County Attorney <br />DATE: January 31, 1995 <br />RE: CANCELLATION OF OUTSTANDING TABES <br />PROPERTIES PURCHASED FOR COUNTY USE <br />The County recently acquired some right-of-way, and, pursuant to Section <br />196.28, Florida Statutes, the Board of County Commissioners is allowed <br />to cancel and discharge any taxes owed on the portion of the property <br />acquired for public purposes. Such cancellation must be done by <br />resolution of the Board with a certified copy being forwarded to the Tax <br />Collector and the Property Appraiser. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: Board authorize the Chairman to sign the <br />attached resolutions cancelling taxes upon lands the County recently <br />acquired. <br />Attachments: 2 Resolutions - <br />(1) Parcel #24-33-32-00000-3000-00002.0 <br />Timber Ridge, Inc. <br />Property Exchange with County <br />(2) Parcel #11-33-39-00014-0020-00011.0 <br />First Church of the Nazarene, Inc. <br />R/W - 27th Avenue <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Tippin, the Board unanimously (4-0, <br />Chairman Macht being absent) adopted Resolution 95- <br />21 cancelling certain delinquent taxes upon <br />publicly -owned lands, pursuant to Section 196.28, <br />Florida Statutes. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Tippin, the Board unanimously (4-0, <br />Chairman Macht being absent) adopted Resolution 95- <br />22 cancelling certain delinquent taxes upon <br />publicly -owned lands, pursuant to Section 196.28, <br />Florida Statutes. <br />FEBRUARY 7, 1995 15 <br />� � i <br />
