Laundry equipment, ninety-five cents <br />($0.95) for each piece of equipment. <br />E Coin-operated radio, television and similar <br />devices installed in businesses providing <br />housing accommodations for the traveling <br />public, twenty-one dollars ($21.00) for coin. <br />operated radios, television sets, vibrating <br />mattresses or similar devices installed in <br />guest rooms in hotels, tourist homes, tourist <br />courts, rooming houses and other businesses <br />providing housing accommodations for the <br />traveling public, and further pay an an. <br />nual license tag of forty cents ($0.40) for <br />each device. <br />g. One., five-, or ten -cent vending machines, <br />ninety-four cents ($0.94) for each machine. <br />3. The following vending machines and lockers <br />are exempt from the tax provided by this section: <br />a. All vending machines which dispense only <br />United States postage stamps are hereby <br />exempt from the payment of any excise or <br />license tag levied by the county. <br />b. One-, five, ten -cent vending machines lo. <br />cated in licensed places of business and dis- <br />pensing any nuts, citrus juices and other <br />food products. <br />c. Cohn -operated parcel checking lockers- and <br />toilets locks used in railroad, bus, airport <br />stations, or depots and in hotels, boarding <br />houses, restaurants and restrooms for the <br />convenience of the public. <br />d. All coin-operated telephones which are oth. <br />erwise subject to tax under section 207.45 <br />of this chapter <br />4. All machines licensed under paragraphs (a), <br />(b), and (c) of subsection (2) shall display in a prom- <br />inent place on each machine a sticker or decal to <br />be furnished or approved by the tax collector <br />showing that the tax has been paid. <br />5. Whenever any tax collector shall find any <br />vending machine required to be licensed under <br />this section operating without a current license <br />he shall attach to the machine a notice of delis. <br />quent taxes. Any person who removes notice of <br />delinquent taxes or who removes any moneys from <br />the machine before license taxes are paid shall be <br />guilty of misdemeanor. If at the end of ten (10) <br />days the license tag remains unpaid, the person <br />responsible for paying the license tax shall be <br />guilty of violation of a county ordinance subject to <br />penalties accordingly. <br />(Ord. No. 91-49, § 1, 12.10-91) <br />Section 207.49. Water companies and sewage <br />disposal companies. <br />1. Every person engaged in the business of op- <br />erating water companies or sewage disposal com- <br />panies shall pay the following license taxes on the <br />population served: <br />Population Tax <br />1. 40,000 or more .............. $562.00 <br />2. 30,000-39,999 .............. 450.00 <br />3. 20,000-29,999 .............. <br />187.50 <br />4. 10,000-19,999 .............. <br />140.50 <br />5. 5,000-9,999 ................ <br />86.25 <br />6. 3,000-4,999 ................ <br />46.85 <br />7. 1,000-2,999 ................ <br />28.12 <br />8. 999 or less .................. <br />18.75 <br />2. For the purpose of this section, any person <br />furnishing water or sewage disposal service for <br />profit shall be construed to be a water company or <br />sewage service for profit; provided that persons <br />having wells or sewage disposals for private use <br />and who may furnish not more than twenty-five <br />(25) neighbors with water or sewage disposal, shall <br />be exempt from the provision of this section. <br />3. Municipal corporations which own or operate <br />their own water plants and sewage disposal sys. <br />tems shall not be subject to the above license tax. <br />(Ord.
