Private insurance plans may cover
services, but high deductibles or co -payments place significant financial burdens on parents or
guardians, and limit participation in the needed therpay. Early intervention in therapy for those
children with delayed milestones has been proven to be effective in the development and
integration of skills necessary for formal development.
The Sunshine Kids Support Fund has been created to offset the cost of providing these
services, covering staff salaries and Clinic overhead, allowing these children to access care
needed to reach developmental milestones.
