Szpyrka, P.E. , Public Works Director <br />FROM: Kendra Cope, M.S., Coastal Resources Coordinator <br />SUBJECT: Release of Retainage - Work Order No. 6 Morgan & Eklund, Inc. <br />Sector 5 Beach and Dune Restoration Project <br />Erosion Control Line Survey <br />DATE: May 16, 2019 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />On October 4, 2016, the Board approved a contract with Morgan and Eklund, Inc. (M&E) for <br />Professional Land Surveying and Mapping Services for a two-year term. The Board amended the <br />Contract on October 18, 2016. M&E is the selected County Consultant for professional <br />onshore/offshore hydrographic surveying services. <br />On May 1, 2018, the Board approved Work Order No. 6, in the amount of $20,000, for services <br />related to professional surveying necessary to establish an Erosional Control Line (ECL) for the <br />Sector 5 Beach and Dune Restoration project area. This surveying project is a permit requirement <br />which must be completed prior to construction of the Sector 5 project. <br />To date all work is 100% complete. The total amount of retainage withheld under Work Order <br />No. 6, is $2,000. <br />FUNDING <br />Funding in the amount of $2,000 is budgeted and available in the Beach Restoration Fund, <br />Hurricane Matthew Account — Sector 5, Account No. 128-206000-17001.
