SECTION 00942 - Change Order Form <br />No. 1 (Page 1 of 3) <br />DATE OF ISSUANCE: 12/10/2019 EFFECTIVE DATE:12/10/2019 <br />OWNER: Indian River County <br />CONTRACTOR RIO-BAK CORPORATION <br />Project: Sector 5 Beach and Dune Restoration Project <br />OWNER'S Bid No. 2019066 <br />IRC PROJECT: IRC -1923 <br />You are directed to make the following changes in the Contract Documents: <br />1. All reimbursements for overtime/holiday pay for the County inspectors/engineers that occurs <br />as a result of the increased quantities from erosion due to Hurricane Dorian will be the <br />responsibility of the County. <br />Section 00800 — Supplementary Conditions shall be modified as follows: <br />SC -6.026 <br />4. All costs of inspection and testing performed during overtime work by the <br />CONTRACTOR, which is allowed solely for the convenience of the CONTRACTOR, <br />shall be borne by the CONTRACTOR, and a credit given to the OWNER to deduct <br />the costs of all such inspection and testing from any payments otherwise due the <br />CONTRACTOR. Overtime work incurred due to the impacts of Hurricane <br />Dorian and resulting increase in quantities shall be exempt from SC -6.026-4. <br />All costs of inspection and testing incurred by the OWNER due to the quantity <br />increase resulting from Hurricane Dorian shall be the responsibility of the <br />OWNER. <br />5. All costs of OWNER's employees and costs of ENGINEER's Consultant resulting <br />from overtime work by the CONTRACTOR, which is allowed solely for the <br />convenience of the CONTRACTOR, shall be borne by the CONTRACTOR, and a <br />credit given to OWNER to deduct all such costs from any payments otherwise due <br />the CONTRACTOR. Overtime work incurred by the impacts of Hurricane Dorian <br />and resulting increase in quantities shall be exempt from SC -6.026-5. All costs <br />of the OWNER's employees and costs of the ENGINEER'S Consultant incurred <br />by the OWNER due to the quantity increase resulting from Hurricane Dorian <br />shall be the responsibility of the COUNTY. <br />2. The following Bid Items have been added to the Contract to account for quantity changes <br />due to Hurricane Dorian: <br />Bid Item 1A — Mobilization/Demobilization Post Dorian has been added to the <br />Contract resulting in an increase in project cost of $27,772.02 to account for a 1.5% <br />bond increase. <br />Bid Item 2A — Environmental Compliance Post Dorian has been added to the <br />Contract resulting in an increase in project cost of $8,310.00 to account for 83,100 <br />additional tons of sand. <br />Bid Item 3A — Supply/Deliver/Place Sand Post Dorian has been added to the <br />Contract resulting in a project cost increase of $1,843,158.00 to account for the <br />additional 83,100 tons to be delivered to the project site. <br />The total Contract cost has increased $1,879,240.02 from $4,511,712.00 to <br />$6,390,952.02 as a result of Change Order No. 1.
