Brown, County Administrator <br />THROUGH: Tad Stone, Director <br />Department of Emergency Services <br />FROM: Erin Baskins, Staff Assistant IV <br />Department of Emergency Services <br />DATE: I September 16, 2019 <br />SUBJECT: Approval of Affiliation Agreement Extension between Medical Career <br />Academy and Indian River County Emergency Services District <br />It is respectfully requested that the information contained herein be given formal consideration by the <br />Emergency Services Board of Commissioners at the next scheduled meeting. <br />DESCRIPTION: <br />On September 20, 2016, Indian River County Department of Emergency Services entered into an <br />affiliation agreement for the purposes of providing education oversight as it relates to preceptor <br />mentoring with Medical Career Academy. The affiliation agreement allows for 3 additional one <br />(1) year terms. Staff is requesting to renew the Affiliation Agreement for the second one (1) year <br />term, and shall expire on September 20, 2020. <br />FUNDING: <br />There are no funding requirements for this item. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends approval of the second one (1) year extension of the Affiliation Agreement <br />between Indian River County Emergency Services District and Medical Career Academy. <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />Two Copies of the Affiliation Agreement for Execution <br />139 <br />
