Ennis, P.E., PMP, Assistant Public Works Director <br />SUBJECT: Renewal of Agreements for Continuing Environmental and Biological Support <br />Services RFQ# 2017053 Project No. IRC -1720 <br />DATE: September 17, 2019 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />On October 10, 2017, the Board of County Commissioners approved the four (4) firms selected for the <br />continuing Environmental and Biological Support Services for Engineering Projects with Indian River <br />County. The original contract was for two (2) years with an option for two (2) additional two-year <br />extensions at the County's discretion. <br />County staff has negotiated standard fee with each individual firm. The fee schedules reflect fair and <br />competitive rates for comparable professional services and tasks. These fees will be the basis for <br />individual projects and work orders. <br />The selected firms below have submitted fee schedules that have been accepted by reviewing staff <br />(there was a 4.7% increase in one firm's rates): <br />Ecological Associates, Inc. <br />Jensen Beach, Florida <br />Environmental Science Associates <br />Delray Beach, Florida <br />G.K. Environmental, Inc. <br />Vero Beach, Florida <br />Kimley-Horn & Associates, Inc. <br />Vero Beach, Florida <br />FUNDING <br />Funding sources for continuing environmental and biological support services will vary, depending on <br />the type of project and the associated County Division. <br />Staff will provide funding information for each project any time a work order under these <br />contracts is submitted for Board approval. <br />30 <br />
