Brown, County Administrator <br />FROM: Tad Stone, Director <br />Department of Emergency Services <br />DATE: October 31, 2019 <br />SUBJECT: Modification Alto Emergency Management State -Funded Subgrant Agreement <br />(EMPA) Agreement Number A0004 <br />It is respectfully requested that the information contained herein be given formal consideration by <br />the Board of County Commissioners at the next scheduled meeting. <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS: <br />The Indian River County Board of County Commissioners executed an agreement with the Florida <br />Division of Emergency Management on July 16, 2019 for the Emergency Management <br />Preparedness Assistance Grant (EMPA). The EMPA grant is used to enhance and improve <br />emergency management mitigation, planning, response and recovery directly affecting the lives <br />and property of Indian River County residents and visitors. The Florida Division of Emergency <br />Management has submitted Modification #1 to Agreement Number A0004 which modifies certain <br />emergency management requirements to comply with the grant. <br />FUNDING: <br />There are no changes to the funding of the original agreement. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends approval of Modification #1 of State Funded Subgrant Agreement A0004 <br />between Indian River County Emergency Management and the State of Florida, Division of <br />Emergency Management. <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />1. Two (2) original Copies of EMPA Agreement Modification #1 <br />2. Attachment E which details the modification to the emergency management response <br />capabilities <br />111 <br />
