Szpyrka P.E., Public Works Director <br />SUBJECT: Work Order No. 9, REI Engineers, Inc. — IRC Main Library Roof Replacement <br />(IRC 1838) <br />DATE: November 5, 2019 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />On April 18, 2014, the Board of County Commissioners approved a Continuing Contract Agreement with REI <br />Engineers, Inc. to perform roofing consultation services to include evaluations of existing roofing conditions, <br />design solutions for remedial work, design solutions for roof replacement, preparation of design documents, <br />and project management. On February 6, 2018, the Board of County Commissioners approved an Extension to <br />the Continuing Contract for an additional 3 -years. <br />The purpose of Work Order No. 9 is to review and assess repairs to the roof at the Indian River County Main <br />Library and prepare construction drawings, assist with bidding and provide construction administration <br />services for the project for a total lump sum amount of $33,250.00 <br />FUNDING <br />Funding in the amount of $33,250.00 is budgeted and available in ,Optional Sales Tax Facilities <br />Management/Account number 31522019-066510-20003/Main Library Roof. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends approval of Work Order No. 9 for REI Engineers, Inc., authorizing the above-mentioned <br />professional services as outlined in the attached Scope of Services (Exhibit A) and requests the Board <br />authorize the Chairman to execute Work Order No. 9 on their behalf for the total lump sum amount of <br />$33,250.00. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />REI Engineers, Inc.
