D. Finances <br />1. Does your Board approve the annual budget and review regular financial reports of the operating <br />budget and capital funds? How often is this review conducted? <br />The Finance Committee of the Board reviews the development of the annual budget and approves <br />the proposed/preliminary budget (typically in December) which is then presented by the <br />Committee's Chairman to the entire Board of Directors (typically at the January meeting) for their <br />approval. The final budget is approved by the board in June or July of each year. The Board of <br />Directors receives monthly financial reports at board meetings, which take place every other month <br />and formally accepts the reports as noted in the meeting minutes. <br />2. Does any outside organization (such as a governmental unit) conduct periodic evaluations of the <br />agency's finances, management or programs? If yes, list the agencies. <br />Many of our funding agencies conduct periodic evaluations. Of particular note are: <br />Southeast Florida Behavioral Health Network <br />Palm Beach County Community Services <br />United Way of PBC <br />Children's Services Council of St. Lucie County <br />Children's Services Council of Martin County <br />3.
