The Interlocal Agreement, attached to this memorandum, provides for the following duties <br />to be performed by the School Board: <br />• Purchasing of Fuel to Maintain 72 Hour run time <br />• Annual Load Bank Testing <br />• Annual Certification of Fuel Monitoring System <br />• Annual Fuel Cleaning and Polishing <br />• Annual Fuel Tank Storage License Fee <br />• Annual Fuel Storage Pollution Policy <br />• Cost Associated with Fuel Spill Cleanup <br />The County shall be responsible for reimbursing the School Board for 50% of all <br />reasonable and necessary costs and expenses incurred by the School Board in <br />performing preventative maintenance, periodic maintenance, and repair of the generator <br />and related equipment. The annual cost for generator maintenance and repair is <br />estimated to be $8,566.00 as evidenced by the spreadsheet attached to this memo. <br />FUNDING: Funding for current year maintenance and repair costs will be funded via <br />budget amendment from General Fund Reserve for Contingency, while subsequent fiscal <br />year costs will be budgeted accordingly. <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends the Board approve the Interlocal <br />Agreement between the Indian River County Board of County Commissioners and the <br />School Board of Indian River County concerning the maintenance and repair of the <br />emergency power generator for the Special Needs Shelter at Treasure Coast Elementary <br />School and authorize the Chairman to execute the agreement on behalf of the Board. <br />Attachments: Exhibit "A" Interlocal Agreement <br />Exhibit "B" Annual Cost Spreadsheet <br />Copies to: Robert Michael, CHEM, Director of Physical Plant <br />School District of Indian River County <br />118 <br />
