PROPOSAL TO PROVIDE <br />PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING SERVICES <br />for <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY PARKS & CONSERVATION RESOURCES <br />JONES' PIER CONSERVATION AREA PROJECT <br />CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION SERVICES <br />SECTION 1: SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />The following scope of services is based on a construction duration of six months (i.e. ending <br />July 31, 2020). Construction beyond this period may require additional fees. <br />TASK 1 —ADMINISTRATIVE TASKS <br />• Attend pre -construction meeting with the contractor and Indian River County representative(s). <br />• Attend weekly progress meetings for the duration of construction. (Construction duration estimated <br />at 6 months from Notice to Proceed issued to contractor - i.e. approximately 26 meetings assumed). <br />• Review contractor's preliminary schedule at first weekly meeting. Monitor construction progress <br />and coordinate with contractor to provide schedule updates for duration of construction. Provide <br />schedule updates to Indian River County. <br />• Coordinate with other design consultants (MBV, Dansco, Donadio) for required inspections or plan <br />clarifications. <br />• Respond to contractor Request for Information (RFI's) and provide construction clarifications as <br />needed. <br />• Review contractor's submittals and shop drawings and make recommendations. <br />• Review density tests and geotechnical reports. <br />• Consult with Indian River County for any change order requests. <br />• Review Pay Requests from the contractor and submit to the Indian River County following <br />approval. <br />TASK 2 —SITE INSPECTIONS <br />• Provide silt fence and erosion control device inspection. <br />• Coordinate with contractor for MOT plan during Jungle Trail closing. <br />• Conduct regular periodic construction observations/inspections (average 3 site inspections per <br />week) to verify that the construction is proceeding in accordance with the plans and specifications. <br />• Attend milestone inspections including pump station start-up, water main pressure tests, etc. <br />TASK 3 —PROJECT CLOSEOUT <br />• Conduct final inspection(s) and prepare punch list of work deficiencies. <br />• Review as -built survey (to be provided by contractor) for compliance with approved plans. <br />• Review phase 1 final certifications to Indian River County, St. Johns River Water Management <br />District, etc. (Note: Phase 2 certifications are included in construction services approved with <br />previous purchase order #82250-00) <br />C:1UserslbpowelllDesktop\Carter_WorkOrder3_2-11-20.doc Page I of 3 <br />©2020 by CAI <br />
