The S.C.A.L.E. report evaluates the proposed transportation improvements on 58th Avenue between <br />47th and 53rd Street, which consists of the reconstruction of 58th Avenue from a two-lane undivided <br />roadway to a four -lane divided roadway. The project also includes wider travel lanes, a median <br />separator, a closed drainage system, continuous bicycle lanes adjacent to the roadway and continuous <br />sidewalks that provide connectivity to nearby neighborhoods. <br />The study evaluated four (4) alternative alignments. The alignments are labeled as follows: <br />• No Build <br />• Alignment A - Left or West Side Widening <br />• Alignment B - Widening from the Center to the East and West <br />• Alignment C - Right or East Widening <br />The recommended alignment is Alignment C or the Right Side or East Widening. This alignment is <br />depicted on Figures 4A and 4B in the report. <br />FUNDING <br />Funding is not necessary for approval of the S.C.A.L.E. Report, however funding for the report <br />totaling $15,970 is budgeted and available in account 10215241-066510-15013 Traffic Impact <br />Fees/District II/Construction/58th Ave — 49th to 53`d <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends that the Board approve the 58th Avenue Corridor Study / S.C.A.L.E.
