RESOLUTION NO. 2020- <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER <br />COUNTY, FLORIDA, ENDORSING THE CLOSURES DURING CONSTRUCTION OF THE 8TH <br />STREET AND 74TH AVENUE (CR612) BRIDGE REPLACEMENT PROJECT BY THE FLORIDA <br />DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION. <br />WHEREAS, the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has determined that it will undertake <br />the project to replace the CR612 (8th street) Bridge; and <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County (County) approved Resolution 2018-039 on April 17, 2018 <br />supporting the FDOT to manage, construct, and deliver a bridge of the Indian River Farms Water Control <br />District Later "C" canal at CR-612/8th Street and 74th Avenue; and <br />WHEREAS, the County recognizes this bridge will be replaced and there will be complete road and <br />bridge closures at the Project of the duration of the construction, and traffic will be detoured to other <br />County Streets; and <br />WHEREAS, the FDOT submitted a Temporary Traffic Control plan for the Project and received <br />conceptual approval of the Maintenance of Transportation route from the Public Works Director; and <br />WHEREAS, through this Resolution, the FDOT will implement the closures during Construction of <br />the Project; and <br />WHEREAS, the BCC has determined that execution of this Resolution to be in the best interest of <br />the citizens and residents of the County; and <br />WHEREAS, through the approval of this resolution the BCC is approving the road closures along 8th <br />Street and 74th Avenue for the completion of the Project. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN <br />RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the road closures at the intersection of 8th Street and 74th Avenue are <br />approved for the completion of the CR612 Bridge Replacement Project to be completed by FDOT. <br />The foregoing resolution was offered by Commissioner who moved its <br />adoption. The motion was seconded by Commissioner and, upon being put to a vote, the <br />vote was as follows: <br />January, 2020. <br />Chairman Susan Adams <br />Vice -Chairman Joseph E.
