RESOLUTION No. 2020- 024 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER <br />COUNTY AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF A TRIENNIAL TITLE VI PROGRAM <br />UPDATE TO THE FEDERAL TRANSIT ADMINISTRATION <br />WHEREAS, Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended, prohibits discrimination on the <br />basis of race, color or national origin in programs or activities receiving federal financial assistance; <br />WHEREAS, the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) requires that all direct and primary <br />recipients document their compliance with Title VI requirements by submitting a Title VI Program <br />Update every three years; and <br />WHEREAS, the Indian River County Board of County Commissioners must approve the Title VI <br />Program Update prior to submission to the FTA; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS THAT: <br />1. The Chairman, or in his or her absence, the Vice Chairman, is hereby authorized to sign the Title <br />VI Program Update transmittal letter. <br />2. The MPO Staff Director is authorized to sign any and all assurances, warranties, certifications, <br />and other documents which may be required in connection with the 2020 Title VI Program <br />Update. <br />THIS RESOLUTION was moved for adoption by Joseph E. F1 escher and <br />the motion was seconded by Tim Zorc , and, upon being put to a vote, <br />the vote was as follows: <br />Chairman Susan Adams AYE <br />Vice -Chairman Joseph E. Flescher AYE <br />Commissioner Peter D.
