Board of County Commissioners Meeting Minutes -Final December 10, 2019 <br /> could incur a violation that would result in the loss of funding related to <br /> Hurricane Matthew and Hurricane Irma, and it would jeopardize the County's <br /> eligibility for funding in the future. <br /> Commissioner Solari inquired on a funding source for the proposed Change <br /> Order in the event that the project was not reimbursed by FEMA. Director <br /> Szpyrka stated that the entire cost would then be funded from Local Option <br /> Tourist Tax dollars. Discussion ensued among the Board and County <br /> Administrator Jason Brown, with the conclusion being that beach restoration <br /> was a good use of tourist-generated tax dollars. <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Solari,seconded by Chairman Adams,to <br /> approve staffs recommendation.
