Kirwin, Director, Parks and Conservation Resources <br />Subject: Memorandum of Agreement between the Florida Fish and Wildlife <br />Conservation Commission and Indian River County, Parks and Conservation <br />Resources for Boating Ramp Projects and Maintenance <br />BACKGROUND:' <br />The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) has available labor, equipment, <br />and materials funded in part from the Federal, Sport Fish Restoration Act — Boat Access and in part <br />from state funding to maintain and construct new public access boat launch ramps. The FWC, <br />Division of Law Enforcement, Boating & Waterways section reached out to us in order to enter <br />into a Memorandum of Agreement in order to codify their assistance with maintaining and <br />improving the County's Public Access Boat Launches (See attached MOA). <br />The Public Access Boat Launches owned, managed and maintained by Indian River County are the <br />following; <br />Ramp Name <br />Ramp Address <br />Oslo Boat Ramp 1 <br />9th Street SE, Vero Beach <br />Round Island Boat Ramp <br />2200 S Highway AIA, Vero Beach <br />Wabasso Causeway Boat Ramp <br />3105 Wabasso Bridge Road, Vero Beach <br />Blue Cypress Lake Boat Ramp <br />21704 73rd Manor, Vero Beach <br />Dale Wimbrow Park Boat Ramp <br />11805 Roseland Road, Sebastian <br />Donald McDonald Campground Boat Ramp <br />12315 Roseland Road, Sebastian <br />The term of the agreement is for twenty (20) years with a termination option by either party with a <br />sixty (60) day notice. <br />FUNDING: <br />Currently, Indian River County, Parks and Conservation Resources is funded to provide general <br />maintenance services at our public access boat launches, entering into this Memorandum of <br />Agreement with the FWC will enhance the level of maintenance and repair services without a fiscal <br />impact. <br />63 <br />
